The inauguration ceremony of "Hội An Garden" and the naming of Hội An Bridge took place at Wernigerode's People's Park, Germany, on the afternoon of August 24, 2023. This is one of the main activities of the 3rd Hội An Lantern Festival, which will be held in Germany from August 25 to 27, 2023.

The people of Hoi An love eating out, in particular street food. And this passion for the latter isn't just any random habit, but in fact history-based. In the 16th -19th centuries, Hoi An was one of Asia's primary trading ports. Wernigerode is known as one of the Harz region's picturesque old towns that are popular for tourist activities. From August 4 to 6, 2023, the 19th “Hội An - Japan Cultural Exchange” will be held by Hội An city, the Consulate General of Japan in Đà Nẵng, and Japanese units and localities in Hội An Ancient Town; in order to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973 - 2023), as well as continue to strengthen the exchange and cooperation relationship between Hội An and Japan.

According to the sources; Hội An was a prosperous trading port from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries; Portuguese, English, French, Japanese and Chinese merchants came here to trade, with the majority of them being Japanese and Chinese. The 7th Vietnam International Choir Competition will be held in Hội An Park, Hội An city, Quảng Nam province, from April 2 to 6, 2023. There are currently 20 choirs registered from 8 nations and territories, including Vietnam. The competition's Organizing Committee is still inviting new registrations from choirs around the world.

In the 17th and 18th centuries, the famous Quảng Nam silk was exported all over the world via Hội An international commerce port. Thread spinning and silk weaving, as well as many other traditional occupations along the Thu Bồn river, have contributed to embellishing the multi-colored and multi-faceted cultural identity of Quảng Nam in general and Hội An in particular.
