For the first time, a unique stage was erected amidst the rice fields in Hoi An to present contemporary dance with folk music.
The 60-minute performance, titled “Straw,” celebrated the scenic beauty of Hoi An's countryside at sunset. It attracted hundreds of spectators, including many foreign tourists.

At the end of 2023, Hoi An was officially designated by UNESCO as a “Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art,” a recognition that supports the city’s ongoing efforts to nurture creativity and uphold artistic values rooted in Vietnamese tradition.
