To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Hội An city, Vietnam and Szentendre city, Hungary (2014 - 2024), Hội An city will organize exchange activities to reflect on the past journey of cooperation. The goal is to cultivate and strengthen stronger friendships in the spirit of innovation, creativity and integration.

On this occasion, the Szentendre city delegation, led by Mayor Fülöp Zsolt Attila, will conduct a working visit to Hội An from July 16 to 26, 2024. In addition to the courtesy call and joint work programs; there will be activities in Hội An city including Tree-planting, and an Artistic exchange night commemorating the 10th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Hội An and Szentendre in An Hội Sculpture Garden at 7 p.m on July 20, 2024.
In addition, the two cities will exchange and set expectations for cooperation in the fields of culture and art, heritage preservation and tourism development; introduce and create opportunities for cultural exchange and mutual tourism attraction between the two cities; jointly promote the participation of citizens from the two cities through organizing leadership delegations and people-to-people exchange delegations to visit each other; create opportunities for businesses and schools in the two cities to exchange and cooperate; together research and organize joint events between the two cities, including at least one event to exchange and promote culture and tourism in each city between 2024 and 2029.
This event aims to spread the cultural beauty, landscape, and people of the two cities; introduce the profound meaning of the friendly relationship between the two cities to the local community and tourists; and contributes to demonstrating Hội An's international character and position as a creative, globally integrated city.
