This event has important significance for the provinces in Central Vietnam that have Bài Chòi singers. It is not only to affirm the rich cultural identity of Vietnam, but also to demonstrate Vietnam's commitment to the preservation of cultural and artistic values of humanity.
Particularly, the art of Bài Chòi in Hội An which is a unique art form that Hoi An people has introduced to domestic and international friends, has been becoming an indispensable spiritual food for local people. Thus, this event becomes even more meaningful in honoring the traditional values that the city government and locals are trying to uphold and promote.
To celebrate the recognition of the art of Bài Chòi in Central Vietnam as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is coordinating with the People's Committee of Quang Nam province and the People’s Committee of Hội An City to hold the ceremony of receiving the UNESCO’s recognition certificate for the Art of Bài Chòi in Central Vietnam  at 7:00PM on May 7^th 2018 at Đồng Hiệp Park, Hội An city.
The event program which includes many interesting activities such as parade, folk singing performance, Bài Chòi singing, Bài  Chòi game with attractive prizes for locals and visitors promises to bring the audiences exciting moments.
Besides the world cultural heritage of Hội An Ancient Town and the world biosphere reserve of Cham Island Hội An; promoting the intangible cultural heritage of the art of Bài Chòi will further enhance the image of Hội An, thereby contributing to promoting the cultual tourism brand of Hội An, Quảng Nam to domestic and international visitors.
