On the occasion of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (on November 23rd), 24 years since Hoi An ancient town was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage (on December 4th, 1999-2023), 6 years of Bai Choi art Central Vietnam is registered by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity (on December 7th, 2017-2023), Hoi An city organizes a series of activities with the theme "Hoi An cultural heritage - Tradition, connection, creativity and development" takes place from November 21 - December 7, 2023 to serve people and tourists.

On December 4, 1999 which was a major turning point for Quảng Nam province in the field of culture because Hội An Ancient Town and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary were recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage Sites at the same time. 20 years of owning World Cultural Heritage Sites, government and people of Quảng Nam province have been striving to preserve and promote the value of these heritage sites.

On December 7th 2017, at the 12th session of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Jeju (Korea), The art of Bài Chòi in Central Vietnam was officially inscribed in the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
