From 21 November to 07 December 2025, Hội An Ancient Town will host a series of meaningful cultural activities celebrating Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (23 November), the 26th anniversary of the UNESCO inscription of Hội An Ancient Town and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary (04 December 1999 - 2025), and the 8th anniversary of the Art of Bài Chòi being recognized as a UNESCO Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (07 December 2017 - 2025). These events honor the enduring value of Vietnam’s heritage while reaffirming Hội An, now part of Đà Nẵng City, as a renowned UNESCO Creative and Heritage City.

The UNESCO Creative Cities of Crafts and Folk Art Sub-Network Meeting is being held in Ballarat city, Australia from May 24 - 26, 2024. On the first day, a representative from Hội An city participated and gave a speech introducing the city and its creative field.

Hoi An Ancient Town, located in Central Vietnam, was recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1999. In 2023, it became an official member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of crafts and folk art.

On October 31, 2023, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Secretariat designated Hội An - Vietnam’s representative as an official member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for the field of Crafts and Folk Art. This is the great honor and pride of the people of Hội An in particular, of Quảng Nam and Vietnam in general.
