A hát bội (classical drama) art troupe from the ancient town of Hội An is performing in the International Mask Arts & Culture Organisation (IMACO) in Andong City, Gyeongsangbuk, Korea in exchanging multi-culture and arts among 25 countries in the world at the event.

This is a recognition of the city’s efforts to preserve and promote heritage values.

On Jan 28, the People’s Committee of Hội An city hold the event “Welcome the 8millionth visitor getting Hoi An entrance ticket.Mrs. Bui Thi Duong, who is the 8 millionth visitor, is Vietnamese American (born in My Tho). She comes to Hoi An with 13 other members of the group handled by Sai Gon Tourist.

In March 2011 INTERKULTUR organized the first ever International Choir Competition in Vietnam's history in the city of Hoi An. After the big success of this first edition Hoi An authorities decided to regularly continue the cooperation by biannually hosting the event. After the 2nd Vietnam International Choir Competition is hosted in Huế city in December 2012, the event will now come back to Hoi An in 2013.
