On October 31, 2023, the UNESCO Creative Cities Network Secretariat designated Hội An - Vietnam’s representative as an official member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network for the field of Crafts and Folk Art. This is the great honor and pride of the people of Hội An in particular, of Quảng Nam and Vietnam in general.

Up to now, it is the good news that no suspected cases of Coronavirus infection have been reported in Hội An. According to the recommendations of health organizations and Government’s proposal text, Hội An city halted the organization of festivals, events and sports activities during this period to ensure disease prevention.

Hoi An - Japan cultural exchange is the most outstanding event of Hoi An city in recent years.
