As usual, the Lunar New Year Festival has the participation of the procession “Traditional singing and dancing of spring welcome” marching through the streets in the ancient town to bring the joy and luck to everyone. The highlight of Tết Festival is the artistic show “Hội An Lunar New Year’s Eve 2020” at 10:30 pm on January 24, 2020, at An Hội Sculpture Garden. The program has the participation of singers from Japan, such as Ueno Yuka, Kawamura Yui and Kolme group; with many art performances which were choreographed elaborately to welcome the new spring, and the spectacular firework performance in the transition moment between the old year and the new year.
Also in this Lunar New Year Festival, in order to continue promoting the image of the traditional occupation villages in Hội An, the city solemnly hosts Trà Quế Good-crop praying festival on January 31, 2020, Death anniversary of Kim Bồng Carpentry Village’s founder on February 5, 2020, Cẩm Nam Corn Festival on February 8 & 9, 2020. Besides, there are many exhibiting and entertainment activities organized regularly such as Spring Flower Festival, Exhibition “Orchid Flower on New Year”, Photography exhibition “Tết in Hội An - Past & Present”, folk games, experience activities, etc. The Lunar New Year Festival promises to bring people and visitors a lively and meaningful spiritual life during this occasion.
