Youths helped clean up roads and collect waste and discarded fishing nets along the beach in Cu Lao Cham (Cham Island), which is recognised by UNESCO as the world’s biosphere reserve, and the place whe-re local people have said “No” to nylon bags for two years now.
Besides, youths also held a talk and musical exchanges with troops f-rom Battalion 70 stationed in Cu Lao Cham. During the talk, the youths leant more about great efforts by local troops in defending the national sovereignty over islands, so that they would love the country more and more.
During their stay in the Island Commune, the youths presented a number of gifts to poor households and soldiers.
