Welcome "Pole to Pole Run Vietnam" to Hội An

“Pole to Pole Run Việt Nam” together they aim to highlight the 40th anniversary of the friendship agreement between Vietnam and Australia. They also hope to raise $275,000 for vital projects in Vietnam through the support of the Australian public-Sponsor Pat today. This marathon run is really a humanitarian event for people all over the world to reduce the numbers of death f-rom shortage of clean water. It is also an inspiration for many people and a motivation for athletes. In addition, It is also a chance to showcase parts of Vietnam TV never seen before and introduce Viet Nam images to Australian as well as international friends.

The Marathon “ Pole to Pole Viet Nam” is expected to take place in 40 days without day-off (9th December 2012 – January 18 2013) f-rom the town of Mong Cai in northern Vietnam, through more than 30 provinces and cities and then the run will finish in Cà Mau province in southern Vietnam. Following the completion of this run, our runners intend to jet ski along the Mekong Delta River and back up to Nhà Rồng Harbor in Ho Chi Minh city. And they will reach Hội An in December 24^th, 2012.

On the occasion of this event, The People’s Committee of Hội An in cooperation with The Quảng Nam Provincial People’s Committee to held an exchange programme that will take place at An Hội Sculpture Garden at 19:30, December 24^th, 2012. In addition to, it is included the merry chirstmas programme with shows of attractive performance and dance.

At 6:00 am in December25th, 2012; the runners will leave Hội An to continue their journey. Hội An people and tourists are encouraged to see them off by being their run partners for a stretch of road.
