The Japanese Culture Gallery is located at 06 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, far from Japanese Covered Bridge about 30m. According to many reliable sources, this area was originally quarter of Japanese merchants with busy trading activities in the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. It was also was the place of cultural exchange between Hoi An, Vietnam and Japan.

“Hội An - Japan Cultural Exchange” is an annual event starting from 2003 up to now. After sixteen times of organization, the event has created strong resound, attracted concern of Japanese public, organizations and businesses; and left much good impression in hearts of participants; thereby, contributed to strengthen the exchange-friendly relationship between Hội An and Japanese people.

Mrs. Erika Wilskie (85 years old, German), Studiosus tourist group, is the 6millionth visitor to Hội An ancient town. The celebration takes place at the area in front of Japanese Bridge in Feb 27th, 2014.
