On December 4, 1999 which was a major turning point for Quảng Nam province in the field of culture because Hội An Ancient Town and Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary were recognized by UNESCO as World Cultural Heritage Sites at the same time. 20 years of owning World Cultural Heritage Sites, government and people of Quảng Nam province have been striving to preserve and promote the value of these heritage sites.

Asiana Airlines, Korea’s most awarded airline, is extending assistance for the preservation of Unesco World Heritage sites. It has recently become the first Korean company to sign a memorandum of understanding with Unesco for this purpose.
