Since 2017, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam and Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam have cooperated with Quảng Nam Province and Hội An City to organize the event “Korean Cultural Days in Quảng Nam”. After the success of previous events (in 2017 & 2019), this year, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam and Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam continue to coordinate with Quảng Nam Province and Hội An City to hold this event. It will take place from 9-13/4/2021 with unique cultural, artistic and sport activities.

In Hội An city, the event “Korean Cultural Days in Quảng Nam” will take place from 9-11/4/2021 with many diverse and meaningful cultural activities, such as photography exhibition, experience of Korean and Hội An culture and cuisine, Hội An farmers market, art performances, Teawondo performances, etc. In particular, the Opening ceremony and the Closing ceremony will have participation of famous Korean artists, such as violinist JMI KO, singer Seok Hun, singer Hansara and Korean K-pop dance groups.
JMI KO is a Korean female violinist who has special affection for Vietnam. JMI KO is known by Vietnamese audience for the Violin version “Hello Vietnam” performed in many famous landmarks of Vietnam, including Hội An ancient town. She used to tour in many parts of the world. Finally, she chose Vietnam as her second home and she has lived and worked in Hồ Chí Minh City for nearly 10 years.
Han Sara is a Korean female singer who is working in the music industry in Vietnam. She participated in The Voice of Vietnam - Season 4 and made a strong impression on Vietnamese audience by her beautiful appearance and powerful voice. Her music products bear the color of youth and school with cute melodies, such as “Tớ thích cậu”, “Tận cùng nỗi nhớ”, “Mình hẹn hò nhau đi”, etc. that were quickly accepted by audience, especially young audience.
This year, due to the pandemic situation, there is no participation of artists from Korea, only Korean artists who are working in Vietnam. However, the professionalism of Korean artists and K-pop dance groups with their flexible dance steps on the background of Korean songs which are loved by young people will bring an impressive stage.
The event “Korean Cultural Days in Quảng Nam”, Hội An 2021 is an activity which has many significant meanings in the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Korea in general and between Quảng Nam Province, Hội An City and Korea in particular. The event aims to promote the image and culture of Korea, enhance exchanges and open up opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. And Hội An is a favorite destination for many tourists from all over the world, especially Korean tourists. It also aims to contribute to attracting more and more tourists to Hội An after a long period of being affected by the pandemic. And more important thing is the assertion of Hội An’s position in international integration and exchange.
