Lunar New Year Festival is the most important spiritual holiday in the cultural life of Vietnamese people because this is a privileged occasion for each person to find their way back to their origin and spiritual values that have become the tradition of our nation for generations.

        On this festival, Hội An city will hold various activities and entertainment imbued with the color of Hội An culture. It is expected to bring the people of Hội An and tourists enjoyable moments on the occasion of the lunar new year festival, year of the rooster 2017.
        In addition, "Cam Ha Kumquat Festival" will be held at Trang Keo Park (Cam Ha communal ward) from January 7th & 8th. And, the spring flower market with the involvement of  growers specializing in growing flowers and ornamental plants in Hoi An will officially open along the route of Tran Hung Dao street and Nguyen Hue street. This is such a place for everyone to enjoy dozens of species of flowers and ornamental plants blooming and to bring home colorful flowers for new year decoration.
         The music show of Hoian Lunar New Year’s Eve Festival will take place from 11:00 pm, January 27th at Song Hoai Square (Hoi An city). With a unique repertoire,  especially the traditional singing and dancing of spring welcome, this year's show promises to take audiences back to the good memories of new year atmosphere of Hoi An people in the former time.
          Especially, the opening ceremony of Hội An Light Festival 2017 will also take place here with a unique light show ever. This is the most exciting highlight of this year's New Year Festival lasting from January 27th until February 8th in the ancient town of Hoi An. With a total budget of  22 billion, invested by Index Creative Village PLC (Thailand), the light festival promises to be a spectacular feast of music and light with laser and 3D mapping technology.
          Furthermore, Many cultural activities and exciting entertainment such as spring boat racing, death anniversary of the founder of Kim Bong carpentry, Tra Que good-crop praying festival, chinese chess competition and other experiencing activities, folk games,... are waiting to be discovered on this occasion.
