Sparkling “Night on the Hoai river”

The performance incorporated various forms of traditional folk music, including Quang folk songs and bai choi singing. Enhanced by impressive sound and lighting effects, the presentation depicted scenes that celebrated the local cultural identity, allowing the audience to experience the profound historical and cultural essence of Hoi An and its people.

Numerous international choir groups also took part in the event, expressing their amazement and appreciation for the program’s creativity and uniqueness, especially when set against the enchanting nighttime backdrop of the Hoai river.

Launched in 2022, “Night on the Hoai river” has become a signature night tourism experience in Hoi An.

The event immerses visitors in a vibrant tapestry of sounds and cultural storytelling, offering a glimpse into centuries-old traditions and community life that continue to thrive today.

Mrs. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam, Director of the Hoi An Center for Culture, Sports, Broadcasting, and Television, shared that “Night on the Hoai river” is more than just a cultural tourism event. Rooted in folk traditions, it serves as a creative space to introduce visitors to the beauty of traditional melodies and handicrafts.
