The 8th Vietnam International Choir Competition, Hội An 2025

 In 2025, the 8^th edition of the Competition will take place from April 9 to April 13, featuring 30 choir ensembles and over 1,000 artists from various countries, including Canada, Poland, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. These choirs will compete in 11 disciplines across 7 categories, showcasing both the technical excellence required in choral singing and the unique cultural identities of their home countries. The competition categories include:

- Category A (difficulty level I): 2 disciplines (Mixed choirs, Choirs of equal voices)

- Category B (difficulty level II): 2 disciplines (Mixed choirs, Choirs of equal voices)

- Category G (Children’s & Youth choirs): 3 disciplines (Children’s choirs, Youth choirs of equal voices, Mixed youth choirs)

- Category SE (Senior choirs 55+): 1 discipline

- Category S (Sacred choral music): 1 discipline

- Category SP (Spirituals): 1 discipline

- Category F (Folklore): 1 discipline

The Opening Concert will take place at 8:00 PM on April 9, 2025, at Hội An Theatre (532 Hai Bà Trưng street). The event will feature captivating performances by participating choirs alongside special showcases of Hội An’s local culture, promising an immersive musical and cultural experience for the audience.

Beyond the competition, attendees and visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy exhilarating choral performances and engage in a variety of cultural activities, including “Hoài River Night” - Artistic performances on the river, the Re-enactment of “Hội An Legendary Night in the early 20^th century”, Street friendship concert “International Melody”, and sightseeing tours to Hội An’s cultural and tourist attractions.

The 8^th Vietnam International Choir Competition, Hội An 2025 is a prestigious musical event, featuring a distinguished organizing committee and a highly experienced jury of international experts. Hội An, the host city, is also well recognized for its exceptional event management and the warm hospitality of its people.
