Trà Quế Vegetable Village – The Taste of Hội An’s Fertile Land

Friday - 18/04/2025 04:22

Just under 3 kilometers from Hội An Ancient Town, Trà Quế Vegetable Village preserves the charm of traditional Vietnamese rural life with over 300 years of history. Known for its organic farming methods, locals use riverweed from the nearby Cổ Cò River instead of chemical fertilizers. This gives Trà Quế’s vegetables their lush green color and distinctive aroma, adding a unique flavor to Quảng Nam’s beloved cuisine.

At Trà Quế, visitors can stroll through lush gardens and even become a “farmer for a day” – digging, planting, and learning how to care for crops using traditional techniques. It’s a simple yet meaningful experience that honors the agricultural heritage of Vietnam. In 2024, Trà Quế Vegetable Village was proudly recognized by UN Tourism as one of the Best Tourism Villages – a living testament to the sustainable beauty of this green haven in the heart of Hội An.
