Event information 13th Hội An - Japan cultural exchange, 2015

“Hoi An – Japan Cultural Exchange” is an annual event attracting the attention of different classes of people and tourists to Hoi An. After twelve times, this event has left a deep imprint in the participants’ hearts through the success on creating a unique cultural space that help to enhance the mutual understanding and strengthen the friendly relationship between the people of Hoi An and Japan.

This year,  the 13th Hoi An – Japan Cultural Exchange" will take place from August 28 to 30, at the Ancient Town of Hoi An. The opening ceremony will start at 19:30 on August 28.
 There will be various activities included in the event program. Traditional activities are never be missed and especially there are a lot of activities on their way becom a new trend of Japanese culture and art, that are very popular in Vietnam such as: Cosplay, Yasakoi dance, Japanese sword drawing art, Kirigami, Yukata photographing, Diplay of Haiku calligraphy, Bonsai art of Japan, Star watching with a telescope ... In addition, the handicraft carpentry skills competition will take place from August 28 to 30 at An Hoi Sculpture Garden.
On the great occasion of this event, a message of health and environment is wanted to send to everyone through various activities as parade, "One hour for a cleaner Hoi An" Forum, "Hoi An, a smoke-free tourist city” with the participation of Hoi An, Japanese and international volunteers.
The 13th Hoi An – Japan Cultural Exchange, 2015 will continue to bring more significant and unique activities imbued with the friendship between the two nations at the ancient town of Hoi An.
Moreover,  another event called “Flower Lantern Festival, Hoi An 2015" will take place right before the 13th Hoi An-Japan Cultural Exchange, on August 27 at Hoai river and An Hoi Scuplture Garden. The highlights of this festival are the art installation of flower lanterns and the performance “A rose pinned on shirt”  that aiming to express gratitude to the mothers for their merit of giving birth and nurturing as well as to honor the examples of filial piety.
