A new walking street in Hoi An

Hoi An is going to expand the town zone for pedestrians and non-motorised vehicles (aka walking town) at Nguyen Phuc Chu street.
This street is located on the south of Hoai river – at the opposite side of the ancient town that spread along An Hoi Sculpture Garden and Nguyen Hoang night market. When Nguyen Phuc Chu st. becomes a walking street, it will be a quiet and safe space for tourists and the locals to visit.
The project of the town for pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles" has been executed since 2004. Its initial purpose was reducing noise from the sound of motor engines and ensuring safety for travelers. So far it has become a typical cultural tourism product of Hoi An that has greatly contributed to the promotion of culture - tourism of Hoi An.
When having a walk along Nguyen Phuc Chu st, tourists can enjoy and experience various cultural activities, performances and folk games,…A ticket stall will be placed at the end of this street - on the south of Song Hoai Square Bridge; selling ticket and provide information to tourists. Meanwhile, there will be a parking lot for tourists at Cao Hong Lanh st., intersection of Nguyen Phuc Chu st., La Hoi st. and  Cao Hong Lanh st. and at Phu Dong primary school.
The opening of the walking street of Nguyen Phuc Chu will take place at 7 pm on December 3rd, 2015 on the occasion of 16th anniversary of the world cultural heritage of Hoi An Ancient Town. The walking street will work with the following time frame:
Everyday
