The annual event "Hội An - Japan Cultural Exchange " will take place at Hội An ancient town , F-rom Aug.23 to Aug.25, 2013. The festival is in the frame of “Vietnam – Japan Friendship Year” as well as the 40th anniversary of Vietnam and Japan diplomatic relations (1973-2013).
In addition to the activities of cultural & sports exchange between Hội An and Japan such as Crafts & fine arts presentation and display, Origami, Folk game of Japan and Hội An, Haiku Calligraphy, Photographing with Yukata, Folk art show, Japanese art performance,…etc ; there are more extraordinary acitivities: Presentation and exchange of Japanese Calligraphy with the Calligrapher “Takeda Souun”, Japanese cuisine, Chorus performance,..
Furthermore, Hội An and Japan will share their same concern with environment protection on seminars. In particular, this year the festival program will be refreshed with the activities and art performance spreading the whole day f-rom evening, Aug.23 to Aug.25 at the surrounding area of Japanese Bridge and Nguyễn Thị Minh Khai st. along with street art show, display, exhibition, art exchange of Japan and Vietnam, community exchange (Bon dance, Bamboo dance,..)
The festival is co-organized by The People’s Committee of Hội An city, The Embassy of Japan, JF, JICA, Showa Women University, Sakai city, Naha city, Int’ Organizations, Quảng Nam and Đà Nẵng Enterprises.
