6th Quangnam Heritage Festival 2017 – “Quangnam, Heritage Connection Journey”

Its opening ceremony is going to be held at 8:00pm on June 9th, 2017 at the monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mother in Tam Ky city; and the closing ceremony on June 14th in Hoian city.
The event is an opportunity to promote and honor the cultural values of Vietnam and Quang Nam cultural characteristics; exchange experiences on management, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values between localities in the country, Vietnam and other countries around the world; attracting investment in Quang Nam and promote the development of tourism as a key economic sector; at the same time, strengthen the cultural exchange among the regions in the country as well as the world to meet the needs of cultural enjoyment of the local people and visitors; build the tourism brand of Quang Nam; build products and tourism infrastructure in the region.
In the festival this year, Quangnam government plans to invite from 10 to 12 world heritage cities from different countries: Australia, Japan, Korea,... the exchange of world heritage cities will take place at An Hoi Sculpture Garden with a range of activities: Photo and objects exhibition, film about UNESCO world heritage cities, performance of intangible culture of the ancient towns; international workshop on the conservation and promotion of heritage values of ancient towns,... On this occasion, Quangnam will hold the 415th anniversary of Thanh Chiem palace (or Quangnam palace); Cultural-sports and marine tourism festival; Vietnam sailboat race; Windsurfing world championships; canoeing national league; Golf Tournament "Quang Nam Heritage Festival"; "Classic vehicles journey"; Vietnam central and central Highlands tourism forum; Vietnam handicraft fair; farmtrip, presstrip; the launching of new tourism products, ... Recently, at the meeting of the organizing committee of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival 2017, different subcommittees have been established for the festival: Subcommittees of Content/Information and communication/Sponsorship/Reception and logistics/Security and order and two press centers located in Hoi An and Tam Ky. According to the organizing committee’s plan, from January 9/2016, the propaganda and promotion of the festival and the mobilization of funding, branding invited has started. The department of culture, sports & tourism and the relevant authorities has also started their preparation for the festival aiming to bring the local people and tourists an impressive festival.
