1st Light Festival to hold in Hoi An

On the occasion of Lunar New Year Festival 2017, Year of the Rooster, the event Hội An Light Festival will bring the ancient town of Hội An a brilliant and charming look with the art of combination of light and sound.
On December 26th, Director of The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - Mr. Dinh Hai said that this festival will be held from Jan 27 to Feb 8, 2017.
The 1st Light Festival in Hội An called Hội An Light Festival; the organizing board stated that it is the very first time to hold a light festival in Hoi An with an regional scale. The technology of light and sound combination creates a lively scene.
According to the organizing board, there are 6 places for light show: Japanese Bridge, An Hội Bridge, Hoài River, Kazik Garden, Rest stop – 2 Bach Dang street and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street.
Each show lasts for 8 – 10 minutes at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm everynight. Visitors who join the festival have a chance to enjoy the art light show with magnificent colors, brilliant picture of flowers, relics, tourist activities.
The organizing board also mentioned that visitors have to buy tickets for the light show in order to control the number of people entering the show area.
Regarding the event budget, a company from Thailand will hold this event and invest 22 billion dong for organizing.
